Killer had his Daughters Walk Past their Mom’s Dead Body After he Shot Her   File Photo Bronx Voice  November 21, 2025 BRONX LOCAL NEWS - A Bronx man will spend at least the next two decades behind bars after admitting he shot and killed his estranged wife while their two young daughters were inside the apartment, prosecutors said. Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark announced that 50-year-old Lacon Brown was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for second-degree murder. Clark didn’t mince words about the impact of the crime, saying Brown “took their mother away and traumatized these girls,” and that she hopes his long sentence brings the children some measure of solace. Brown pleaded guilty in September to killing Cindy Maxwell, 45, during a violent attack inside her Allerton apartment on August 23, 2023. Scooter Shooter Sought by NYPD

Police are looking for this man in connection with a shooting, slashing from a scooter in the Bronx.

BRONX - A man was shot and slashed across the face by a man on a scooter around the corner from a police station. 


At around 7:30 am on September 28, a 43-year-old man was walking in the vicinity Tiebout Avenue and East 182nd Street when two men on a scooter rode up next to him. One of the riders pulled out a gun and shot the man in the back.

BRONX- Police have identified the victim who was fatally stabbed on a Bronx subway platform in an unprovoked attack. 






The gunman then dismounted the scooter pulled out a sharp object and slashed the victim about the face. 


The attacker then hopped back on the scooter and drove off. 


The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. 


The shooting/slashing took place around the corner from the 46th Precinct.  


No word yet on a possible motive for the vicious attack.
