Cops Search for Gunmen in Fordham Road Shooting One man is dead and another is in critical condition following a double shooting on Fordham Road. -Citizen By Dan Gesslein Bronx Voice April 24, 2024 BRONX - Cops are investigating a deadly shooting on Fordham Road in which one man was shot to death and another is fighting for his life. Police have identified the victim as 34-year-old Michael Mendez. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds during the overnight shooting. At around 9:50 pm on April 23, officers from the 46th Precinct responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and East Fordham Road. Cops found Mendez with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and his right armpit. A 38-year-old male was found in front 2449 Morris Avenue. Cops said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body. He was rushed to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
