Janitor Sexually Assaulted Second Grader Inside Empty Classroom  Bronx Voice  October 28, 2025  BRONX NEWS - A school janitor has been sentenced to sexually assaulting an 8-year-old student inside an empty classroom in a Bronx school, prosecutors said. “The defendant grabbed a little girl and abused her, in what should be a haven for children,” said Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark. “He will spend five years in prison and register as a sex offender for violating a child.” According to the investigation, on December 17, 2024, at approximately 3:45 p.m., inside a public school, the defendant, a janitor at the school, forcefully pulled an 8-year-old girl into an empty classroom. He sexually assaulted the girl, and she ran out of the classroom screaming for help. A teacher called 9-1-1. The defendant was linked to the attack by DNA.
