BRONX NEWS - On October 24, the Mott Hall Charter School in the South Bronx was filled with more than just learning and laughter- it was glowing with hope, unity, and compassion as staff and faculty members came together to celebrate “Wear Pink Day” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The event was held to show support for those affected by breast cancer, and to honor the school staff, family members, and extended school community who have bravely battled the disease.

Faculty and staff proudly wore shades of pink to symbolize their commitment to raising awareness and standing in solidarity with survivors, fighters, and families impacted by the disease. The event highlighted Mott Hall Charter School’s dedication to not only academic excellence but also to building character and compassion, showing students the importance of empathy, community, and advocacy.

Living up to their motto, “RISE to the Challenge,” the Mott Hall Charter School community demonstrated the strength of their core RISE values: Responsibility, Integrity, Scholarship, and Excellence.

Through their actions, staff modeled what it truly means to rise together for a cause that touches countless lives, embodying the very principles they instill in their students each day.

The shared spirit of “Wear Pink Day” served as a powerful reminder to both staff and students that awareness leads to action, and action saves lives. As the staff of Mott Hall Charter School stood proudly in pink, they sent a clear message of unity, and that hope is stronger when we wear it together.
