Driver Pulls Gun on Shovelers in Parking Spot Dispute - Cops say

BRONX, NY - A pair of shovelers during the great ice storm had more to deal with than just snow. Cops said an angry driver pulled a gun on them in Pelham Bay during a dispute over a parking spot.


According to the NYPD 45th Precinct, the incident occurred on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at approximately 7:00 p.m. near Westchester Avenue and Willow Lane in the Bronx. Police say they are seeking information related to the menacing incident near Westchester Avenue and Willow Lane in the Bronx that left two residents shaken but unharmed.

The NYPD is hoping somone will recognize the person in this grainy cell phone photo. Cops said this man pulled a gun on a couple during a dispute over a parking spot.



Investigators say a 35-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were outside shoveling snow when they were approached by an unidentified male driving a white Chevrolet pickup truck. What started as a disagreement over a parking space quickly escalated into a tense confrontation now being investigated as a Bronx parking dispute where a man displayed a firearm.





Police say the unidentified man became involved in a verbal dispute with the couple about the parking spot. During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly displayed a firearm, creating what authorities described as a dangerous snow shoveling parking dispute involving a gun in the Bronx.


Fortunately, no injuries were reported.


After the weapon was displayed, the suspect fled the scene in the pickup truck. Authorities say he was last seen traveling southbound on Bruckner Boulevard, and investigators are now searching for the driver.



The individual police are attempting to identify is described as a male with a light complexion. He is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, and is believed to be between 50 and 60 years old. He has white hair and was last seen wearing a flannel shirt. 


Detectives hope someone may recognize the individual connected to the suspect wanted after displaying a firearm during a Bronx parking dispute.


As the investigation continues, the NYPD reminds residents to report threatening behavior and disputes involving weapons immediately so officers can respond quickly and prevent escalation during situations like the Bronx neighborhood dispute involving a firearm during snow shoveling.
