Addressing Diabetes, Heart Health Go Hand-in-Hand for American Heart Month

And here’s another alarming fact: While many factors can increase the chances of cardiovascular disease and stroke, people with diabetes have twice the chance of developing CVD compared to the population as a whole. As a registered nurse and care manager at the home- and community-based health care nonprofit VNS Health, I work with individuals who often suffer from multiple chronic illnesses. BRONX - A pair of bikers rode off with a Bronx business’ safe on the back of their mopeds back in May. Now cops have released new surveillance video in an attempt to catch the thieves. 



At around 5 am on May 31, two men broke into a bar located at 2412 3rd Avenue in Mott Haven. The pair gained access by breaking in the front door. Once inside the bar the crew removed a safe about the size of a small file cabinet. 


New surveillance video shows the masked men tie the safe to the back of a moped as the two rode off with the cash.

Charged with Multiple Counts of Sexually Abusing Minor


BRONX - A Co-op City man has been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse in an assault on a child, cops said.

Investigators said the safe contained around $9,000 in cash. 


Both men wore black hoodies and ski masks to cover their faces.
