BRONX - The NYPD has identified the victim in the fatal early morning shooting in Longwood yesterday. 


Police have identified the victim as 26-year-old Jaquill Monroe of Beck Street. No arrests have been made at this time and no description of the shooter has been released. 





The case is under investigation. 


At around 3 am on April 15, cops responded to a call of shots fired at 1102 Longfellow Avenue.  When officers arrived they found Monroe lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the torso. 


EMS raced the victim to Lincoln Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
