BRONX - Cops are investigating a deadly shooting on Fordham Road in which one man was shot to death and another is fighting for his life.



Police have identified the victim as 34-year-old Michael Mendez. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds during the overnight shooting. 


At around 9:50 pm on April 23, officers from the 46th Precinct responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and East Fordham Road.


 

Cops found Mendez with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and his right armpit. 



A 38-year-old male was found in front 2449 Morris Avenue. Cops said the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout the body. He was rushed to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition. 


Mendez was also transported to Barnabas where he was pronounced dead. 



No motive for the shooting has been given yet and no word on a description of the gunmen. The case in under investigation.
