4 firefighters Injured in Blaze on same Block as 2018 Fire By David Greene  Bronx Voice  November 17, 2025  BRONX LOCAL NEWS - Four firefighters suffered minor injuries, and multiple families have been displaced after a fire broke out inside of an auto mechanic shop that quickly spread to a pair of two-family homes. Fire officials told the Bronx Voice that the fire broke out inside of the one-story garage that housed General Mechanic / Gabaon Body Shop at 1740 East Tremont Avenue, at 11:23 a.m. on November 8. One fire official said that upon arrival, firefighters observed “heavy fire throughout” the building. Fire from the rear of the building extended to the two homes at 1530 and 1532 Rosedale Avenue. The official said that four firefighters were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries. Before the fire was extinguished the roof of the auto-body shop had collapsed. BRONX - Cops are looking for a pair of moped riding thieves who robbed a Pelham Parkway woman in broad daylight. 



At around 2:50 pm on March 7, a 22-year-old woman was walking down Pelham Parkway. When she reached 810 Pelham Parkway South, a pair of men on a moped rode up behind her on the sidewalk. Cops said the passenger reached over and snatched the cellphone from the victim’s hands. The pair then drove off. 



The NYPD has video taken from a nearby building. The suspects are seen riding the moped on the sidewalk at the time of the crime. 


The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, a red hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, black hat, dark pants, and dark sneakers. 


The second suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing an olive-green jacket, black pants, a black hat, and black and white sneakers.
