BRONX - A woman who fought back from a groper on a city bus was slashed and beaten by her attacker, cops said.

At around 5:15 pm on February 23, a 33-year-old woman was riding on the Bx2 bus in the vicinity of East Tremont Avenue and Grand Concourse. Cops said a man riding the bus next to her began rubbing the right side of her buttock. The woman immediately turned around and confronted the groper and the two began to argue. Then things got ugly.

Cops said the man began repeatedly punching and kicking  the woman throughout her body. At some point the suspect must have pulled out a sharp object because the victim sustained a slash wound to the face, cops said.

The attacker fled the bus in an unknown direction.

EMS rushed the victim to BronxCare Health System where she was treated and listed in stable condition.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect taken from inside the bus. The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who is between the ages of 25 and 30. He has a slim build and is between 100 and 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black or gray jacket, black and blue jeans, a pink backpack, white sneakers, and a large Bluetooth headphone.
