BRONX - A suspect wanted for a vicious stabbing of a 70-year-old worker in a Bronx business has now been linked to two robberies prior to the stabbing, the NYPD said.

A 70-year-old worker at a beauty supply company in Ollinville was stabbed repeatedly by a man in an apparent random attack. Cops said the suspect walked into the beauty supply store on White Plains Road at around 12:30 pm on December 15. He walked up to the elderly man, pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed him in the torso.

The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

Investigators now believe the same man struck at two other businesses earlier that day. At around 10:30 am on December 15, the suspect walked into a dry cleaners on Nereid Avenue. Cops said the man displayed a knife and demanded cash from a worker. The employee handed over $6 and then fled.

Two hours later the same man struck at an African restaurant on White Plains Road. The suspect entered the restaurant, walked behind the counter and removed $200 from the registers, cops said. When an employee tried to stop him, the suspect pulled out a knife and menaced her. The robber left without incident.
