BRONX - A shower cap wearing burglar used a hammer to break into the lobby of an apartment building to get to the tenants’ mailboxes, the NYPD said. 


At around 1 am on October 6, a woman wearing a shower cap was caught on surveillance video trying to break into the vestibule of 1425 Noble Avenue. 


Cops said the woman used the hammer to break the glass door and gain access to the vestibule. She then tried to break into a mailbox for the tenants.


It is unclear if the vandal made off with any items. 


Woman Robbed Walking Dog in Park 

MANHATTAN - A woman walking her dog in the park in the Garment District was robbed by a trio of muggers, the NYPD said.

The suspect is described as a woman with a dark complexion who is between the ages of 25 and 30. She is 5 foot 2 and 190 pounds with a heavy build. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt featuring checkered design on the front, red skirt, white sandals, and a shower cap.
