BRONX - A teenage girl was punched in the head while riding a city bus in Pelham Bay in what cops are calling a random attack.

At around 1 pm on July 26, a 13-year-old girl was sitting on an MTA Bx8 bus traveling on Crosby Avenue. When the bus was in front of TD Bank, a middle aged man walked over to the teen and without warning punched her in the head.

The attacker then got off the bus and fled on foot down Crosby Avenue.

Cops said the teen refused medical treatment the scene.

After an investigation police released a photo of the suspect.

He is a male with a light complexion. He is bald with a beard. He was last seen wearing a dark track suite jacket, blue jeans and had a white towel draped around his neck.

He was also seen wearing white and blue sneakers.

The photo appears to have been taken in a parkland area similar to Pelham Parkway. The suspect was seen in the photo carrying grey and red milk crates full of cleaning supplies.

Cops would not state if the suspect has been known to authorities.
