Thieves Use Guns, Knives to Steal E-Bikes

BRONX - Police are searching for two sets of thieves who robbed people of their e-bikes in separate incidents.





At around 9 am on May 14, a 28-year-old man was riding his e-bike across the Willis Avenue Bridge.


Suddenly two men on a moped rode up alongside the electric bike. One of the men pulled a knife on the bike rider and forced him off  his e-bike.





The man with the knife mounted the e-bike and followed his accomplice on the moped.


The first robber is described as a male with a medium complexion between the ages of 20 and 35. He is 5 foot 10 with a slim build. Cops said the suspect has a short Afro with a blonde highlight.





He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and blue jeans. 


The moped driver is described as a male with a medium complexion. He is 5 foot 10 with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black facemask, and dark colored pants.



 

Cops are also looking for two suspects in another e-bike stickup.


At around 5:45 am on May 17, a 21-year-old male was sitting on an e-bike in the vicinity of 152nd Street. Cops said two men on a scooter rode up to the bike rider.


Police are searching for this man in connection with the robbery of an e-bike at gunpoint.


One of the men placed a gun to the head of the bike rider and told him to get off the electric vehicle.




The gunman then mounted the bike rode off eastbound on 152nd Street. His accomplice on the scooter close behind him.





The gunman is described as a male with a light complexion and heavy build. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.


The scooter driver is described as a male with a medium complexion. He last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt and black shorts.
