BRONX - A Bronx man was found stabbed to death in Country Club, a community filled with million dollar homes. Cops said a person of interest is in custody.

Police are still investigating the holiday slaying in one of the quietest communities in NYC. A possible motive for the murder is that the argument was over a woman, published reports claim.

At around 3 am on July 4, police responded to a call of two men fighting. Police arrived at the scene and found a 26-year-old man lying in front of 3286 Radio Drive.

The victim was found with multiple stab wounds throughout his torso.

EMS rushed the victim to nearby NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they have a person of interest in custody.

Cops are investigating the possibility that the fatal stabbing stemmed from a heated argument over a woman. Published reports claim the victim had gotten into an argument when his girlfriend’s former boyfriend showed up. The two men began arguing over the woman and the fight then turned fatal.

Country Club has long been an oasis from Bronx violence. For decades the well off and politically connected bought large expensive houses in the tree lined community. Today multiple homes listed for sale have prices of over 1 million dollars.
