Landlord of Burned Bronx Building Sued to Stop Heat Monitoring

Bike Riding Robbers Strike Throughout Bronx

BRONX - Police are looking for a trio of suspects in chain snatchings throughout the Bronx using motorized two wheelers. In one case robbers used a motorcycle and a gun to snatch and in a separate case a robber used a motorized scooter, cops said. 




At around 8 am on July 21, a 40-year-old man was standing in front of a building on Cypress Avenue in Mott Haven. Cops said two men on a red motorcycle rolled up to them. As the driver showed off the gun in his waistband the passenger hopped off the bike and snatched the gold chain off the victim’s neck.


The thief hopped back on the bike and the pair road off westbound down East 135th Street, cops said.



The victim refused medical treatment at the scene.


The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, who is six feet tall with a thin build.


He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with gold and purple accents, black sweatpants, and white sneakers.



 

The second suspect is a male with a dark complexion who is 5 foot 10 and has a thin build.


He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, black pants with a gray accent, and white sneakers.


In a separate attack police are looking for a moped riding suspect who struck near Fordham Road.






At around 5:45 pm on July 21, a 54-year-old woman was walking in front a building on Morris Avenue. Cops said a man on a motorized scooter pulled up in front of the woman and displayed a knife. The scooter rider then snatched the gold chain off the woman’s neck.


The woman refused medical treatment at the scene.


Police are asking for the public’s help in either robbery.
