Teens Mugged for iPhones in 2 Separate Attacks in Different Parts of Bronx

BRONX - At least three teenagers in two separate attacks were robbed of their iPhones by different attackers in the Bronx. Cops have released photos of all four suspects in the two separate muggings.


The first robbery took place around 8 pm on May 1st near Bronx River House at 1490 Sheridan Boulevard. A 15-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy were walking near the Bronx River when they were approached by two men. The men pulled out knives and demanded the teens’ iPhones. 


Cops say the muggers took the two cell phones valued at $1,900 and fled on foot. 


Police released surveillance video of the baby-faced suspects. They were both last seen wearing grey hoodies and no masks.


The suspects are described as two males between the ages of 15 and 17. 


In an unrelated case in another part of the borough, a 16-year-old was beaten for his iPhone. At around 3:40 pm on May 3, the teen was walking in the vicinity of Ogden Avenue and West 165th Street in Highbridge.

Two young men approached the teen and punched him in the head. As the teen staggered from the blow, the muggers removed his cellphone. The attackers then ran off.  


The victim refused medical attention at the scene. 


Police released surveillance video of the suspects. The first suspect was last seen wearing a yellow and black North Face puffy jacket with a black hoodie underneath. The second suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and dark sneakers.
