BRONX - Police have released surveillance video images of the man, they say, slashed an elderly man across the face and stabbed him in the back outside a Bronx bodega.

At around 6:30 am on May 8, a 75-year-old man got into an argument with a much younger man in front of a grocery story at 918 Freeman Street in the Morrisania section of the Bronx.

As the argument heated up, cops say the younger man kicked the senior forcing him to the ground. Then standing over the elderly man, the attacker pulled out a knife and slashed him across the face. He then stabbed the man in the back as he lay helpless on the sidewalk.

Cops say the attacker then ran up the stairs to the subway platform of the Freeman Street Station of the Number 2 and 5 Line.

The victim was rushed by ambulance to Lincoln Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Police released surveillance video taken from outside the Bronx bodega.

The suspect is described as a man between the ages of 25 and 35. He has a medium complexion and a thin build. He is approximately six feet tall.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket with white stripes with the “Adidas” logo in white on the chest. He also wore gray pants, and white sneakers.
