BRONX - A bodega clerk was shot when he was hit by a stray bullet from a gunmen trying to shoot another man. The target of the gunman ran into the Bronx store after being wounded. 





At around 10:15 pm on March 23, a 25-year-old man was standing in front of a bodega at 3600 Bronxwood Avenue in Williamsbridge. A Nissan Sentra pulled up to the grocery store and a man exited the car. He then pulled out a gun and opened fire, shooting off numerous rounds. 


The victim was shot once in the leg and ran inside the store. Undeterred the gunman fired numerous more rounds into the store. One of the bullets struck a 42-year-old male worker in the leg. 





Cops say the gunman jumped back into the Nissan with two other men and drove off. They abandoned the car near Blackrock Avenue. They are then seen on surveillance video running down the street. They then hopped over a white picket fence and ran to Pugsley Avenue. There they were picked up by a waiting black sedan. The car took off southbound on Pugsley Avenue. 


Both shooting victims were transported to a nearby hospital where they were listed in stable condition.  


The gunman and his accomplices are described as males between the ages of 25 and 30.
