Pelham Bay Pedestrian Struck by Car, Dies of Injuries

BRONX - A pedestrian struck by an SUV near Pelham Bay train station last month died of his injuries. 





At around 4:30 am on February 24, a 40-year-old man was walking on Westchester Avenue in the lane left of traffic on the corner of Westchester Ave and Sands Place. Cops said a 2013 black GMC Yukon SUV traveling north struck the pedestrian. The truck initially took off but cops said the 44-year-old female driver returned to the scene a short time later. 





The victim suffered head injuries and was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center. On March 11, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. 


SUSPECT SOUGHT IN MCDONALD’S DELIVERY SHOOTING



BRONX - Cops are looking for a third suspect in connection with the shooting of two deliverymen outside a Bronx McDonald’s. Reports say the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the deliverymen.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notification.  





Cops say there have been no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
