Cops ID Suspect in 2023 Rape  Police are searching for  Malik Crocker, AKA "Bread," in connection with a 2023 rape near the Bronx courthouses. -Photo by NYPD By Dan Gesslein Bronx Voice  April 17, 2024  BRONX - Cops have identified a suspect in a rape that took place in one of the heavily trafficked areas of the borough - near the Bronx criminal and civil courthouses and up the road from Yankee Stadium.  The NYPD announced today that investigators have identified 31-year-old Malik Crocker in the 2023 rape. The suspect is known to frequent the South Bronx and goes by the nickname “Bread.”  At around 7:30 am on May 27, a man forced his way into the victim’s apartment in a building in the vicinity of East 161st Street and Grand Concourse. Once inside the apartment the attacker struck the 25-year-old woman multiple times in the face before raping her. Gunmen Rob Pelham Bay 7-Eleven

Workers Terrorized for $1,000 Worth of Smokes

BRONX - Workers at a Pelham Bay 7-Eleven were held hostage and robbed by three gunmen for a carton of cigarettes. Police released surveillance video of the suspects in the early morning armed robbery. 




At around 3:30 am on March 20, three men dressed in black and masks burst into the 7-Eleven at 1590 Hutchinson River Parkway. The masked men pointed guns at the employees and forced two of the three workers into a bathroom inside the store.



The gunmen then forced a third worker to the front of the store to go behind the counter and open the cash registers. The robbers removed $700 in cash and over $1,000 worth of cigarettes. 




The gunmen then ran out of the store without incident. It is unclear if they escaped in a nearby car or on foot. 



Once robbers were gone the clerk freed his fellow coworkers and called police.

Police released surveillance video from inside the store that shows two of the three men displaying handguns while wearing white gloves. Two of the suspects wore black hoodies and black balaclavas with black sneakers. A third suspect wore a dark winter coat with a fur collar hood. He was also seen wearing a green surgical mask as well as dark pants and black sneakers.
