BRONX - Police arrested a suspect in the horrifying sexual assault of a 73-year-old woman inside her Bronx apartment. The woman woke up to find the robber on top of her. 




Cops arrested 45-year-old David Salas. He was charged with sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, forcible touching, menacing, burglary, grand larceny, criminal trespass and trespass. 




Salas lives on Narraganset Avenue a short distance from the attack scene in an apartment building in the vicinity of Williamsbridge Road and Lydig Avenue.

At around 9:30 pm on March 23, the 73-year-old victim woke up in bed to find a man on top of her demanding money. The robber touched the victim’s breasts and proceeded to sexually assault her. The attacker then fled the apartment with the victim’s bank card and PIN number. 




Officers arrested Salas on March 27 in the confines of the 41st Precinct in the Longwood section of the Bronx.
