McDonalds Smackdown Near Yankee Stadium

Police are searching for this man in connection with an assault on a Good Samaritan inside a McDonald's near Yankee Stadium.

BRONX - A Good Samaritan suffered a beat down and received a fractured jaw for his troubles in attempting to break up two men fighting inside a McDonald’s next to Yankee Stadium. Cops say the attacker had no connection to his victim or the two men arguing that the Good Samaritan tried to break up.





At around 6:30 am on January 1, two men began arguing inside a McDonald’s across the street from Yankee Stadium on E. 161st Street. A 32-year-old man witnessing the dispute stepped in between the two men and tried diffuse the situation. 


As the men tried to talk it out, another man, who was not involved in the dispute, walked up to the group and punched the Good Samaritan on the right side of his face. 


The attacker fled the store in an unknown direction. 





EMS rushed the victim to Lincoln Hospital where he was treated for a fractured jaw. 


Police stressed they are not looking for the men who were arguing that the Good Samaritan mediated. Instead they are just searching for the man who attacked the victim. 


Police released surveillance video from inside the fast food restaurant. The suspect was seen wearing a black jacket and black baseball cap and black sneakers. He also wore printed pants, possibly camouflage. He also sported a mustache and goatee.
