BRONX - For the second time in two months, robbers pushed their way behind the counter of a Co-op City gas station and stole from the till.

At around 4:15 am on February 8, two men entered the Mobil gas station at 1945 Bartow Avenue. The men pushed their way behind the counter and helped themselves.

One of the robbers held the 46-year-old worker’s arms while the other broke open the cash register and removed $1,200 from the till.

Both men fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police released surveillance video from the robbery which captured an image of one of the robbers. He was last seen wearing a blue bubble jacket, light colored pants, and a white face mask.

The other suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black sneakers.

This is hardly the first time this gas station has been violently robbed. Before Christmas armed gunmen stole cash and cigarettes from the store.

At around midnight on December 15, two men walked into the Mobil gas station at just outside Co-op City. Surveillance video caught one of the men pulling out a handgun as they entered the store.

One man held the employee at bay while pointing the gun at him. The other went behind the counter and removed $1,900 from the till. He then took out a black garbage bag and began stuffing it with packs of cigarettes.

Cops say they stole about $1,100 worth of smokes.

The robbers then fled on foot.

No one was injured. Both men wore dark clothing and facemarks.
