Punched Woman in Face, Threatened Her with Knife on Subway

BRONX - Cops are searching for the man who repeatedly punched a woman in the face and threatened her with a knife during an arguement on a subway platform in the Bronx. 


At around 8:30 am on December 15, a 37-year-old woman got into an arguement with a man on the northbound platform at the White Plains Road and East Gun Hill Road Station of the Number 5 train in Williamsbridge. The heated argument became physical and then deadly. 




The man dressed all in black began to punch her in the face repeatedly. While she was reeling, the attacker pulled out a knife and threatened her life. The attacker then ran down the staircase of the elevated platform to the street below. 




The victim was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center where she was treated for injuries to her head. 




Police released surveillance video from the subway platform which shows the suspect. He is believed to be between the ages of 18 and 20.
