Cop Car Crash Hits 8 Pedestrians

BRONX - A child and grandmother were among the eight people struck when a marked police car lost control and hopped the curb while responding to a 911 call.  



Cops say the case is under investigation but believe the squad car was cut off or was struck by another vehicle, which led to crash. 


Two officers were also injured in the crash. 


At around 3:15 pm, a marked police SUV was responding a 911 call of a grand larceny in progress. At some point the driver lost control and the SUV mounted the curb at Hoe and Westchester Avenues. The truck 

struck eight pedestrians before hitting a pole. Reports say a child and her grandmother were struck. 


Their condition and the condition of the other six pedestrians is unknown at this time.
