Bronx Local News: Cell Phone Dispute Turns into Prison-Style Beat Down- Teen Robbed

5 Beat, Rob Teen of Phone, Sneakers By Dan Gesslein  Bronx Voice  November 12, 2025  BRONX LOCAL NEWS : A teenager received a prison-style beat down when a group of men beat and stomped him during a robbery in the Bronx.  The vicious beating happened in Mount Eden on October 27. At around 7 pm, a 16-year-old boy was walking in the vicinity of East 174th Street and Townsend Avenue when he was approached by a male. The man asked the teen to use his cell phone. When the teen refused the man punched him in the face causing the victim to fall to the ground.  While laying on the sidewalk, four of the attacker’s accomplice ran over and began punching and kicking the defenseless teen. BRONX - Four suspects who look like they should be in school are being sought by police in connection with a mugging in the Bronx, cops said. 


The NYPD released surveillance video of the baby faced suspects wanted for an unnerving mugging in Soundview. The suspects appear to be school age and were seen wearing book bags. 





At around 9:50 am on May 6, a 48-year-old was walking in the vicinity of 1139 Colgate Avenue, a residential block filled with attached houses. 


Cops said the group of four young males walked up behind the woman. One of the crew grabbed the woman and placed his hand over her mouth. The other members grabbed the victim’s purse, cellphone and house keys.  


Cops said the robbers were last seen running towards Westchester Avenue.
