Five teens from group home found as one goes AWOL again

By David Greene  Bronx Voice  August 12, 2025  BRONX - According to the NYPD, five female teenagers who disappeared from a group home between May 14 and June 7 th —have all been found safe and unharmed and no criminality was suspected—but police now say that one of the teens is missing again. According to police officials, Jailynn Gray, 16, disappeared from the Howe Avenue group home in Castle Hill at 2:58 a.m. on August 8. Officials describe Gray as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. Gray was last seen wearing white clothing. As previously reported Jy-Lee Connor, 14; Jayleen Suarez, 15; Dezi Whittingham, 15, and Yelena Baergea, 17, and Gray all disappeared from the group home in Castle Hill at different days and times over the course of 25 days. BRONX - A deliveryman was robbed of his food and his cash by a pair of gunmen, cops said.



At around 6:30 pm on March 8, a food delivery man was making a delivery in the vicinity of Jacobus Place and West 225 Street. Cops said two men ran up to the deliveryman and displayed handguns. The gunmen forcibly removed $281 in cash and the food the man was delivering. 


Cops said the men ran away.


The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspects running up the stairwell of the building.


The first suspect is described as a male with a light complexion. He is from 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with a design on the front, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.

The second suspect is a male with a dark complexion and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray jeans, and gray and white sneakers.
