BRONX - Police are searching for a scooter riding suspect in connection with an attempted rape in the Bronx.

Police released surveillance video from inside the lobby of a building. The suspect was seen walking with a scooter.

Cops say this man is wanted in connection with a sexual assault in Mott Haven.

At around 8 am on May 30, a 20-year-old woman was engaged in a conversation with a man in the vicinity of Cypress Avenue and East 136 Street. Cops say the man without warning and without permission pulled the woman’s pants down.

Investigators say as the woman tried to stop him, the attacker told her he had a gun. He then proceeded to digitally penetrate her.

The victim was able to break free and fled her attacker. Cops said the attacker then fled the location in an unknown direction.

Police and EMS responded after the victim called 911. EMS medically evaluated the woman at the scene.

Cops said the suspect is a male with a light complexion, heavy build and a beard. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans. He was seen with a scooter and a green tote bag.
