BRONX - A group of men on a Bronx subway train pounced on a teen demanding to know if he was in a gang and then brutally beat and robbed him for $10.

At around 4:25 pm on April 3, a 17-year-old man was riding a southbound Number 5 train near the East Tremont and West Farms station.

Two young men walked up to the teen and asked if he was in a gang. When he did not answer, the duo demanded his property.

The attackers then punched the teen in the face. As he fell back, the attackers began kicking him about the body.

They then stripped the victim of his jacket, iPhone, Air Pods and $10 in cash.

At the East Tremont and West Farms station the attackers fled the train. The victim tried to chase after them but could not catch them.

The victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police released surveillance video of the suspects taken at the Baychester Avenue Station prior to the attack. Cops say the men entered the subway by walking through an exit gate.

The first suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion and thin build. He was last seen wearing eyeglasses, a black cap with a Nike logo, a light gray sweatsuit and a black shoulder bag.

The second suspect has a medium complexion and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black face mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a red backpack.
