Shoplifter Threatens to Stab Clerk Over 5 Dollar Tire Repair Kit

BRONX -  A shoplifter threatened to stab an employee at a Bronx discount store when the worker tried to stop him from stealing a $5 tire repair kit. cops say. 




At around 5 pm on March 4, the suspect was seen on surveillance video inside Sister Discount store on Webster Avenue in Claremont Village. The suspect took a tire repair kit and tried to leave the store without paying for it.

A 45-year-old store employee tried to stop the shoplifter. Cops said the thief showed the worker an unknown object and threatened to stab him with it if he did not leave him alone. The shoplifter ran off northbound on Webster Avenue. 




The suspect is described as a man with a light complexion who is 5 foot 9 and 125 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, sneakers and a white Do-rag.
