The one Bronx bathroom at Joyce Kilmer Park has opened to mixed reviews—especially after residents learned of the $1 million price tag and patrons could be observed by sickos from outside the bathroom. On July 1, Mayor Eric Adams and NYC Parks Commissioner Iris Rodriguez-Rosa announced the installation of five new “Portland Loos” at a cost of $6 million as part of the “ We Outside Summer ” pilot program. Man Shot at Westchester Square Bar

Police are searching for this man in connection with a shooting outside a Westchester Square bar.

BRONX - A man was shot outside a Westchester Square bar and police have released a photo hoping the public will help track down the gunman. 


At around 1:35 am on December 11, officers from the 45th Precinct responded to a report of gunshots on Westchester Square. When police arrived at the Plush 101 Lounge they found a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the foot.  




An investigation revealed that the victim and an unknown man had gotten into a verbal dispute outside Plush at 53 Westchester Square. The arguement escalated and culminated with the man pulling out a gun and shooting the victim in the foot. 




The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was treated and released. 




Police released surveillance video of the suspect. The suspect is described as a heavyset man with a beard and a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a black winter coat, beige button-down shirt, blue jeans, brown and white sneakers.
