Bronx Local News: Bronx Man Repeatedly Slashed Across the Face with Knife

VIDEO: NYPD Looking for Slashing Suspect By Dan Gesslein  Bronx Voice  December 3, 2025 BRONX LOCAL NEWS - Cops are looking for the knife-wielding attacker who repeatedly slashed a Bronx in the face.  On November 21, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., a 28-year-old man was inside 192 East 167th Street when he got into a verbal dispute with another man. According to investigators, the argument quickly escalated into a physical fight. During the struggle, the other man pulled out a knife and slashed the victim several times on the left side of his face. Emergency medical crews rushed the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition. Thankfully, his injuries weren’t life-threatening. Police say the attacker took off on foot, heading west on East 167th Street toward Grand Concourse. The man they are looking for is described as having a dark complexion. Man Gunned Down in Van Nest

BRONX - Cops are searching for the shooter who gunned down a man in Van Nest last night. 


At around 9 pm on December 26, officers from the 49th Precinct discovered a 29-year-old man found on the corner of Van Nest Avenue and Melville Street. The victim had been shot in the chest. 




EMS rushed the victim to Jacobi Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. 




No arrests have been made and the only description of the shooter is that he was wearing a red bandana at the time. 




Little has been given in terms of motive for the murder. However, the NY Post reports the victim, whose name has not been revealed, was shot during a drug-related shooting in 2019.
