Landlord of Burned Bronx Building Sued to Stop Heat Monitoring

Arrest in Fatal Westchester Square Stabbing

BRONX - Police arrested a suspect in the fatal stabbing inside a Westchester Square apartment building.



Police arrested 18-year-old Taliq Carter of Odell Avenue. He was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. 


No word on a motive for the slaying.




At around 2:41 am on November 23, police were called to 2511 Westchester Avenue. In the sixth floor stairwell area police found 23-year-old Rodney Truss unconscious and unresponsive. He suffered a stab wound to his right leg. 




Responding EMS pronounced Truss dead at the scene.
