Pinstripe Gunman Wanted for Robbery in Bronx

Yankee Fan and 2 Women Wanted for Armed Robbery

Police are searching for this man, decked out in Yankee pinstripes, in connection with an armed robbery in the Bronx.

BRONX - It’s a bad year to be a Yankee fan - first the Bronx Bombers get swept out of the ALCS and now a fan decked out in a Yankee jersey and cap is going around robbing people at gunpoint. 




The NYPD released surveillance video of a suspect wanted in an armed robbery in the Bronx. Cops say the gunman, decked out in Yankee pinstripes, was one of three people wanted in the stickup. 


At around 9:30 on September 3, a 34-year-old man was walking down East Burnside Avenue when a white Kia Telluride SUV pulled up alongside. Three people, including the Yankee fan and two women, exited the truck. The Yankee fan gestured to his waist band and said, “If you move, I’ll shoot.” 


Police are looking for this woman in connection with an armed robbery in the Bronx.


As the victim stood there the two other members of the crew removed the victim’s Samsung Galaxy phone and $70 cash. The victim then ran off. The trio chased after him for a bit but then got back into the SUV and drove off. 





The first suspect is described as a man in his 40s, heavy build weighing 280 pounds. He is six feet tall with dark short hair. He was last seen wearing a white pinstriped New York Yankees jersey, gray jeans and white sneakers with a blue baseball cap. 




The second suspect is a woman with a dark complexion, heavy build with long dark hair. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray pants and white/gray sneakers. Police released surveillance video of her. 




The final suspect is a a woman with a dark complexion and long red hair. 


The vehicle used in the robbery is a Kia Telluride, white SUV, NY License plate #JHU9322.
