At around 4 am on October 27, the suspect dressed in a pirate costume was seen on surveillance video wandering around the subway station at Brook Avenue in Mott Haven.  Cops said the Jack Sparrow look like walked over to the turnstile and attacked a 32-year-old male. The pirate repeatedly punched the victim in the face and body. He then ripped the victim’s AirPods out of his ears and then took the sneakers off the man’s feet.  The mugger than ran out of the station.  The victim refused medical attention at the scene.  The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, dark hair and a mustache. BRONX - A trio of sneaker thieves robbed a man of his kicks at a Bronx subway station, cops said. One of the robbers was last seen wearing a Bart Simpson hoodie, cops said. 


At around noon on March 31, a 38-year-old man was exiting a southbound D Train at the Fordham Road station. Cops said three young men followed the man off the train and onto the platform. There the group cornered the man and displayed a knife. The robbers forcibly removed the man’s sneakers and his book bag which contained a coat. 


The trio then ran out of the station and were last seen traveling northbound on East 188th Street. 


The victim did not suffer injuries.  


The NYPD released surveillance video from inside a subway car. 


The first suspect is described as a male who is 5 foot 7 with a light complexion, slim build and blonde curly hair. He was last seen wearing a black balaclava, black jacket with a fur hood, black pants, and black sneakers. He was last seen carrying the victim’s dark colored book bag. 


The second suspect is described as a male who is 5 foot 7 with a light complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a black balaclava, gray hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and dark colored sneakers. The third suspect is described as a male who is 5 foot 7 with a light complexion, slim build and dark curly hair.  He was last seen wearing a black surgical mask, dark colored jacket, dark colored jeans, and dark colored sneakers.
