By David Greene  Bronx Voice   October 7, 2025 BRONX - Police have arrested a 15-year-old female and are searching for two others after an 11-year-old child was hit with a rock, chased for five blocks, punched and thrown to the ground and beaten and kicked—and one young girl kicked the child’s puppy and it was all captured on surveillance video. A press conference was held at the corner of Waring Avenue and Holland Avenue after several violent incidents were reported and allegedly carried out by a group of teenage girls in the Allerton community. Bronx Man Charged with Fatally Stabbing Girlfriend in Neck

BRONX - A Bronx man was charged with fatally stabbing his girlfriend in the neck inside his apartment. 




Police arrested 35-year-old Shaheene Ahmad in the death of his girlfiend 23-year-old Zariah Hayes. He was charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. 


At around 10:30 pm on September 14, officers from the 49th Precinct responded to a 911 call at 2552 Holland Avenue off of Pelham Parkway. Cops arrived at the apartment to find Hayes lying on the floor, bleeding with multiple stab wounds to her neck. 



Hayes was transported by EMS to nearby Jacobi Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. 


Police took Ahmad, the victim’s 35-year-old boyfriend, into custody at the scene. 


A knife was recovered at the scene.
