Gunman Opens Fire Blocks Away from Bronx Zoo

BRONX - A gunman opened fire on the street two blocks away from the Bronx Zoo, cops said. 




Police released surveillance video of the suspects in connection with the shooting.  At around 3 pm on August 28, an unknown male pulled out a gun and fired off numerous rounds towards a group of people in front of 997 East 179 Street. 




After the shooting the gunman and three other people were seen walking  away westbound on East 179th Street. 



No one was injured in the shooting. 



The shooting took place in front of the Lambert Houses a mere two blocks away from the Bronx Zoo.
