At around 4 am on October 27, the suspect dressed in a pirate costume was seen on surveillance video wandering around the subway station at Brook Avenue in Mott Haven.  Cops said the Jack Sparrow look like walked over to the turnstile and attacked a 32-year-old male. The pirate repeatedly punched the victim in the face and body. He then ripped the victim’s AirPods out of his ears and then took the sneakers off the man’s feet.  The mugger than ran out of the station.  The victim refused medical attention at the scene.  The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion, dark hair and a mustache. He was last seen in a pirate costume complete wit

BRONX - The last member of the gang charged with murdering “Junior” Guzman-Feliz has pled guilty for his part in the death of the teen, prosecutors said.

Daniel Fernandez, 25, has pled guilty for his part in the murder of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz in 2018. Fernandez pled guilty to first degree manslaughter and is expected to be sentenced to 18 years in prison and five years post-release supervision. Sentencing is scheduled for January 13, 2023.

According to the investigation, on June 20, 2018, leaders of a local branch Trinitarios street gang planned to attack members of a rival gang. Prosecutors said leaders of the “Los Sures” Trinitarios, Diego Suero and Frederick Then, ordered their members to attack members of the rival “Sunset” Trinitarios.

The gang members spotted Junior and chased him to a bodega at East 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue. Graphic surveillance video showed the gang members drag Junior out of the store and onto the street where the gang members stabbed and hacked him with knives and a machete.

Five of the Trinitarios were convicted of fatally stabbing Junior. Gang leaders Suero and Then were sentenced for organizing the attack. The remaining defendants pled guilty to first-degree manslaughter just last month.

“This is the last of 13 defendants who had a role in the death of Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz to be held accountable,” Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark said. “Although the defendant did not stab the victim, his actions led to the horrifying death of the innocent teen. He and the other five defendants who already pleaded guilty to Manslaughter will be sentenced to prison terms ranging from 12-18 years in January 2023. This brings an end to the case, but will never bring closure for Junior’s grieving family.”
