BRONX- A wife waiting in a parked car for her husband who was running an errand received the shock of her life when a man armed with a knife hopped into the car and drove away with her inside. The wife was forced to jump out of the car outside of Parkchester. 




The NYPD released surveillance video of the knife-wielding suspect who struck in broad daylight across the street from PS 106 in Parkchester.  




At around 4:45 pm on September 19, a 29-year-old man parked his black 2015 Honda sedan in front of a pharmacy at 2098 Starling Avenue. As the driver ran into the pharmacy, he left his wife in the running car. Suddenly a man armed with a knife jumped into the driver’s seat and drove away with the wife in the car.  




A few blocks away, the carjacker told his victim to get out. The wife opened the door and jumped out of the running car. 


The woman sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. 




Cops say the stolen car was observed southbound on Unionport Road traveling to the Cross Bronx Expressway heading westbound. 


Investigators said the carjacker made off with the car, two cell phones, three tablets, a laptop and $800 in cash. 


The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect who is described as man in his 20s, medium complexion, 160 pounds, medium build, approximately 5 foot 7 with black hair. He was last seen wearing a a gray hooded sweatshirt, a sky blue baseball cap, surgical mask, blue ripped style jeans with blue and white Nike sneakers.
