Bronx Voice January 4, 2025 Follow @Bronxvoice1 BRONX - The Bronx welcomed their Baby New Years at the dawn of 2025.  Montefiore couldn’t be happier to kick off the New Year with the birth of Baby Boy, Mauryce Edwards-Williams at 12:00:00, to proud parents, mom, Vanessa McKayhan and dad, Devin Edwards-Williams, from the Bronx. Baby Mauryce was born at 7 pounds, 6.5oz, and he is 20 inches long. Mauryce was born at Jack D. Weiler Hospital at Montefiore.  NYC Health + Hospitals/ Jacobi | North Central Bronx  welcomed two babies in the early hours of January 1 st to mark the first children born at each facility in 2025. At Jacobi at 12:41am, proud first time parents Saiful Alom and Mahfuza Tasmine welcomed their baby girl, Aliha Alom, born at 4lbs, 3.9 oz and 17.3 inches. NEW YORK - The 4th annual New Rochelle Holiday Market 2024 at the New Rochelle Train Station will run Nov. 29 through Dec.22, 4-8 pm weekdays, and 12-8 pm weekends. The 11th  glittering season of ‘Winter Wonderland’ will run from November 23rd  through December 31st  at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla. This drive-thru event draws thousands for a big dose of Holiday Cheer. It is sponsored by Westchester Medical Center, and a partnership between the Westchester Parks Foundation and Westchester Parks Department. The 1.2-mile drive begins at 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 4 p.m. on weekends and is chocked full of festive seasonal attractions. Tickets are $37 per car. Imer Rraci and his veteran team reimagined the former La Riserva into a lovely setting for the Italian classics. Named after an island off the coast of Venice, this kitchen turns out such winning dishes as: colorful Mozzarella Caprice; Risotto Di Funghi with porcini; Veal Chop Parmigiana; classic Rack of Lamb; and delicious Pollo Torcello, topped with applewood bacon and melted fresh mozzarella in a light bourbon mushroom sauce.
