BRONX - Cops are looking for an attacker who sucker punched a white male during what the NYPD has called a hate crime.
At around 1:18 pm on April 5, a 24-year-old male was walking on the Grand Concourse near the Bronx County Courthouse. Cops said a man ran up to him and punched the victim in the face while making anti-white remarks. The attacker then ran southbound on the Concourse.
The victim was treated by EMS at the scene for bruising to the face.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect. He is described as a male with a medium complexion and heavy build. He is 6 foot 2 and around 40 years of age. He was last seen wearing an orange jacket, black sweatpants, blue and grey shirt, and black sneakers.
