BRONX - A man was gunned down on the street across from the Bronx VA Hospital, the NYPD said.

At around 11 am, police responded to a 911 call found a man shot in front of 131 W Kingsbridge Road. The 26-year-old victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout the torso. 

EMS rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The NYPD did not release the name of the victim pending family notification. 

Police report no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
