Suspect ID’d in Stabbing Death of 61-Year-Old Bronx Man

BRONX - Police have identified a suspect in the stabbing death of a 61-year-old man inside the stairwell of his Bronx apartment building. 


The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect taken from inside a subway station. The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and medium build and dark facial hair. He was last seen wearing a red and black windbreaker, black pants and black sneakers. 


At around 1:30 am on January 5, police responding to a 911 call at 2415 Creston Avenue, found 61-year-old Tyrone Padilla in the second-floor stairwell of the building. He was found with multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso.

Padilla was rushed to nearby St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
