BRONX - Cops made two more arrests in the stabbing of a man who wished a group of people “Happy New Year.” 


The NYPD announced the arrest of 18-year-old Abdul Abdulai of Rochambeau Avenue. Abdulai was charged with attempted murder robbery and three counts of assault. 


A 16-year-old was also arrested. He was charged with attempted criminally negligent homicide, robbery and three counts of assault. The suspect’s name has not been released because he is a minor. 


Published reports claim Abdulai and the teen turned themselves over to police by surrendering at a Bronx police station. 


On Monday, the NYPD announced the arrests of 19-year-old Emmanuel Awah of Mount Eden and 19-year-old Elias Afflada of the Concourse. 


Both men were charged with attempted murder, robbery and assault. 


At around 8:45 pm on January 1, a 29-year-old man was standing on the southbound platform of the “D” Train at the 182 Street-183 Street subway station. According to police the straphanger wished members of the group a “Happy New Year.” However, the well wisher and the group began arguing. Then members of the group pounced, repeatedly punching the victim. 


Cops said one member of the group pulled out a knife and repeatedly stabbed the victim throughout the body. 


The attackers then ran out of the subway station to the street above. 


EMS rushed the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was treated and listed in stable condition.
