BRONX - A shoplifter threatened a dollar store worker with a knife when the clerk tried to stop him, cops said. The NYPD has released surveillance video of a suspect who was last seen wearing a Bugs Bunny hoodie.
At around 8:15 pm on October 24, a man tried to walk out of a Dollar General store in Mount Eden without paying for the merchandise he had. Cops said a 39-year-old employee saw that the man did not pay and attempted to confront the shoplifter outside the store on Jerome Avenue.
Cops said as the employee tried to get back the stolen merchandise, the shoplifter pulled out a knife and threatened the clerk with it. The knife-wielding shoplifter fled on foot without the stolen merchandise, the NYPD said.
