Funky Pants, Shower Cap Could Lead to Elderly Woman’s Attacker

BRONX - Cops are hoping someone will recognize a woman’s funky pants, in addition to the shower cap she was wearing, to help them catch a suspect who beat an elderly woman at the Yankee Stadium subway station in the Bronx. 



Police released new surveillance video which highlight the suspect’s unique pants. The woman sought by cops for an assault on an elderly woman wore multicolor pants with a distinct pattern as well as black Nike slippers. She also wore a shower cap.


At around 6:15 pm on September 7, a 72-year-old woman was riding the elevator to subway platform at the Yankee Stadium station of the Number 4 train at River Avenue and East 161 Street.

BRONX - A group of males and at least two females are wanted for a string of assaults and robberies around Parkchester, cops said. The last attack occurred across the street from where Amadou Diallo was gunned down by police.

As the woman exited the elevator to the subway platform she was punched in the face. Cops said a woman wearing a shower cap pounced on the elderly straphanger and continued to punch her repeatedly in the face. 


The attacker then ran out of the station and fled in an unknown direction.



EMS transported the victim to Lincoln Hospital where she was treated for a laceration under her eye. Cops said the victim also suffered bruising and swelling about the face.


The suspect is described as a woman who is 35 to 40 years of age and 200 pounds. 


She was last seen wearing a shower cap, white T-shirt, tan pants, black sandals, and carrying a black book bag.
