5 Teens Missing from Castle Hill Group Home

All of the teens were from a group home on Howe Avenue that is run by the non-profit Catholic Guardian Services (CGS) which is affiliated with and shares office space in the same building as the Archdiocese of New York. According to the NYPD, Jy-Lee Connor, 14, went missing after she left the group home at 7 p.m. on May 14 and has not returned. ‘Food Delivery’ Driver Robs Women at Knifepoint

BRONX - A man carrying a food delivery bag is wanted for robbing women at knifepoint in the lobby of their Bronx buildings. 



Police released surveillance video which shows the man dressed in black with his face covered and holding a knife. He is seen with a large food delivery bag across his back and was wearing black Nike slippers.


Cops said the same man struck three times in buildings from Parkchester to University Heights. He also struck twice in one night.

The robber had targeted women in their 60s to a young mom with her infant. In each case he threatens the victim with a knife and then steals their jewelry.


The first robbery took place at around 3 am on August 28. A 60-year-old woman was in the lobby of her building which is in the vicinity of West 183rd Street and Sedgwick Avenue. Cops said the man dressed in black entered the lobby and displayed a knife near the woman’s chest. 




The robber ripped the gold necklace off the woman’s neck and had her hand over cash. He then left without incident.


Investigators said on the following week the same man struck twice within an hour. At around 4:25 am on September 3, a 29-year-old woman was entering the lobby of her Parkchester building in the vicinity of Purdy Street and Metropolitan Avenue. 





The robber ran up to her, threw her to the ground and displayed the knife. He then ripped then chain off her neck and fled. 


The victim suffered minor injuries but refused medical attention.


Less than an hour later the robber struck again in Kingsbridge - terrorizing a mother and child.


At around 5 am, a 31-year-old woman was entering the lobby of her building with her 11-month-old son in the vicinity of 196th Street and Morris Avenue.


As she entered the building the robber ran up to her with knife in hand. He forcibly removed the woman’s bracelets and ran out of the building.


Cops said he drove off on a moped.


The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion who is 5 foot 3 to 5 foot 7 and 170 pounds. 


He was seen carrying a black delivery bag in these incidents.
