Two Suspects Sought After Man Is Slashed and Hit by Car in the Bronx

BRONX, NY - A 28-year-old man was slashed and then hit by a vehicle during a violent altercation in the Bronx early Sunday morning, police said.


The incident happened at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in front of 178 East 174th Street in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx.


Police said the victim became involved in a verbal dispute with two unidentified individuals. During the confrontation, one of the suspects allegedly slashed the victim, causing a laceration to his right ear.


As the victim fled the scene on foot, he was struck by a vehicle that police say was being operated by the second unidentified suspect.


Both suspects fled the area and remain at large.


The victim was transported by private vehicle to BronxCare Health System, where he was listed in stable condition.


No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
