BRONX, NY - Police are asking for the public's help after an armed robbery at a gas station left an employee shaken and a suspect on the run. Investigators believe the man's distinctive tattoos could be the key to identifying him.

According to police, the robbery happened at around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at a gas station located at 6571 Broadway.

Authorities say an unidentified suspect entered the business, pointed a handgun at a 32-year-old male employee, and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect allegedly stole approximately $2,000 in cash before fleeing the scene.

Police said the suspect escaped by riding a bicycle southbound on Broadway. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

Investigators are now reviewing surveillance footage and are hoping the suspect's visible tattoos, captured on video, will help identify and locate him.
